In recent years, parallel transmission has increasingly prominent advantages in improving the throughput and network resource utilization. Given the advantages of parallel transmission and the diverse QoS requirements of user services, research on parallel transmission strategy of multi-mode terminal services in heterogeneous networks is carried out in this paper, exploring the possible parallel transmission modes and making full use of them to satisfy the QoS needs of user services.Firstly, the traditional single network transmission scheme is hard to satisfy the QoS needs of multiple services due to its limited performance. To solve this problem, the strategy of parallel transmission with single network per service is proposed, which is referred to as Strategy1below. In this strategy, each service is allocated to a single network according to the current network status and the QoS requirements of the service.Secondly, the QoS requirements of the service are difficult to meet by single network transmission per service if the requirements are strict or the network load is large. To solve this problem, the strategy of parallel transmission with multiple networks per service which is referred to as Strategy2below is put forward on the basis of Strategy1, allocating each service to one or more networks.Simulation results demonstrate that both Strategy1and Strategy2can effectively increase the service satisfaction rate and the total network bandwidth utilization compared with the traditional single network transmission scheme in different network environment. The performance of Strategy2is better than Strategy1when the number of services is small or the proportion of big data service is large. The advantages over Strategy1are more obvious when the network environment is bad. On the contrary, the performance of Strategy1is better when the number of services as well as the proportion of small data service is large.
