In modern information society, future wireless communication systems have to adopt more advanced technologies to achieve much higer data rate and much better quality of service to meet mobile users’ need, which is turning more and more challenging. In the system, OFDM has been widely adopted by recent new developing wireless communication system as their air interface, which divides an entire available spectrum into a set of orthogonal narrow-band sub-carriers to alleviate inter-symbol interference and the frequency-selective fading and help to achieve high system capacity. And multiple antennas at both ends of a transmission link establishing a spatial multiple-input-multiple-output system is also well known to considerably increase the throughput performance through the extra dimension offered in the spatial domain. CoMP transmission strategy was proposed to mitigate inter-cell interference (ICI) by applying the signals transmitted from other cells to assist the transmission instead of acting as interference. What’s more, there will be another big challenge that is to guarantee quality of services for heterogeneous services in future wireless communication networks. It is crucial to improve system spectral efficiency as much as possible while guaranteeing quality of services for delay sensitive services.Secondly, a UM-RSS scheduling scheme has been proposed for downlink multiuser MIMO-OFDMA systems, which addresses the integrated problem of subcarrier allocation and transmitting antenna selection among users, and dynamic subcarrier sharing among multiple services for one user. The goals of the UM-RSS scheme are to maximize system throughput, fulfill QoS requirements, and reduce the computational complexity while considering multiple service classes, such as RT and BE services. And the simulation results indicate a significant performance improvement for the proposed UM-RSS scheduling scheme in terms of system capacity, spectral efficiency, service throughput and fairness criterion, compared with other traditional scheduling algorithms. At last, we applied the new proposed utility based scheduling algorithms for CoMP-SU-MIMO scenario. Apart from this, we designed JTPC (Joint Transmission Power Control) for the selected clusters for minimizing power consumption in LTE-A systems. Final simulation results illustrate that both the average sector throughput and cell-edge users’ transmission rate have been greatly improved for wireless communication systems.
