Today, due to the explosive growth of information technology, the data size becomes larger. Especially in some scientific research and production environment, the amount of collected data is getting bigger. Most of this type of data acquisition applications, data collection is carried out by embedded devices. Traditional data acquisition applications store the collected data on a local storage device in different locations or regions and then uploaded them to the central server unity. Central server unity also provides data services. But this may made the central server’s network overload and cause other issues. The purpose of this paper is to design and implement a storage distributed storage system based on embedded environment that used in data acquisition application.In this paper, after study the control method, storage principles of the storage of network storage and a typical distributed file systems, the respective roles of the data acquisition applications were classification. Base on Fast Distributed File System, design the group, small group and storage server the three levels storage mode, enhance the ability to expand of storage system.This paper also analyzes the embedded environment and the characteristics of embedded systems. Data provided by hardware security engine, accelerating to store data integrity provided hardware. The design of multiple network adapters separate bandwidth of data synchronization and data use, improve network performance. So that the overall performance of the distributed storage system has been improved to some extent.Finally, This article has carried on the experiment to verify the basic of distributed storage system design and Implementation. Multi-host machine via a virtual machine hardware plus embedded devices are connected and deploy. Experimental results show that the design of a distributed storage system based on embedded environments meets the various functions of data acquisition applications. In the same time, by using of hardware acceleration data transfer performance has been improved.
