Meteorological data acquisition system is the equipment installed on ship inorder to collect the meteorological data around the ship in real-time. This System cancontinuously collect meteorological parameters such as wind, temperature, humidityand pressure around ship, and automatically receive ship speed and courseinformation to calculate the true speed and direction of wind. Moreover,meteorological data acquisition system can also provide real-time meteorologicalparameters for the other onboard equipments as required, which guarantees the shipsafety. This subject mainly focuses on the data acquisition and storage module, whichis one of the core modules of the meteorological data acquisition system.Firstly, this thesis introduces the significance of marine meteorological dataacquisition, the state of art as well as the contribution of this thesis. Secondly, thescheme of the data acquisition and storage module is designed which includes usingS3C2440A chip based on the ARM920T kernel as CPU, expanding256M SDRAMand64M NAND FLASH, designing the A/D conversion, counting and RS485conversion circuits, designing the Ethernet interface for external communication andCAN bus interface for data transfer among various modules, designing SD cardinterface for data storage and query. This thesis discusses the circuit design in detailand accomplishes schematic design and PCB design.. Thirdly, after hardware design,this thesis researches on the software architecture and download method for dataacquisition and storage module. Finally, this thesis debugs on the data acquisition andstorage module developed above.Experiments results prove that the data acquisition and storage moduledeveloped in this thesis implements all the required functions and meets therequirements of the system design.
