The establishment of the wireless channel model is an important way to analyze the characteristics and the system performance of the wireless channel. Compared to the channel model of two-dimensional plane, the channel model based on three-dimension can comprehensively reflect the characteristics of the channel thanks to getting the amplitude, time delay and the angle information of the signal propagation path. As a deterministic channel modeling method,3-D ray tracing technology could get the signal amplitude, time delay and angle information of different scenario by tracing and calculating every multipath. On the other hand, as a statistical channel model, Spatial Channel Model Extension divides the multipath components into a number of clusters, and calculates the channel parameters of the channel.Based on the above factors, in this paper, I mainly study the theories of3-D ray tracing technology. Drawing the same3-D indoor scenario with SCME model, in the ray tracing platform, I simulate and predict the diameter information such as time delay, angle, power and so on. According to the multipath information clustering principle of the SCME model, I establish the clustering model for the ray tracing simulation results by using different clustering methods, calculate and analysis corresponding channel parameters.Eventually, the comparison of simulation results show that there is a slight difference of the channel parameters, by using different clustering methods in the calculation on the diameter information of ray tracing platform. For receiving points, the ray tracing model is more suitable for receiving the path information accurately, while it’s more suitable for SCME model to get the diameter information statistically.
