Now millimeter wave communication and large scale MIMO,3D MIMO technology have become the research hotspot in the field of mobile communication.In such an application scenario,the cell coverage is small,and even focus on the indoor environment.The propagation prediction of wireless signal requires more careful.So the research of indoor millimeter wave MIMO channel model has become a hot research topic again.There are two commonly used wireless propagation model of the indoor signal for now.One is the empirical model,the other is the deterministic model.802.11ad channel model is the empirical based on the measuring of the channel.However,ray tracing technology is the method that apply on the calculation method of the Electromagnetic Theory according to the specific site environment.It is belong to the research methods of the deterministic model.This paper mainly introduce 802.11ad channel model and ray tracing channel model.Then simulate the indoor scenes in the simulation platform of 802.11ad channel model and ray tracing channel model and compare the channel parameters that obtain from the simulation.According to the comparison we can probe the two different channel modeling method's differences and relations.The last result turns out that the mean and the variance of time of arrival,delay spread,azimuth and elevation angle are both nearly the same.The mean and the variance of angle spread have a big difference.The comparative results of these studies also have certain reference value whether 802.llad channel model and ray tracing channel model are suitable for the 3D MIMO scene in 60GHz.Meanwhile,the paper also research on the effects that affect the result of the channel parameters.These effects include the initial setting parameters and the different clustering algorithms.Finally the comparative results of the channel parameters show that when the distance of the bin points is gradually increasing,the mean of time of arrival is gradually decreasing.when the number of the emission ray tube is gradually decreasing,the mean of time of arrival is gradually increasing.The mean of time of arrival obtained by the clustering algorithm of k-means is a little larger than the clustering algorithm of isodata.The results have certain reference value to the researchers who study the simulation of ray tracing for the 3D MIMO scene in 60GHz in the choice of the initial setting parameters and the clustering algorithms.
