With the acceleration of urbanization process in China, the problem of traffic congestion is becoming more and more prominent, has severely restricted the growth of city’s economic. As a rookie of urban transport system, subway has a lot of advantages such as large capacity, small floor space, high efficiency and more and more gets the favor of large and medium-sized cities. Subway is able to ease the traffic pressure, at the same time it also has brought many safe hidden troubles because of large population flow, environment complex and so on. The train on-board monitoring system provides a powerful guarantee for the safe operation of subway, the matched train on-board monitoring system software can provide some functions such as real-time monitoring, video playback, these can help driver dynamically grasp the condition of train. The storage of video can also be available for laterWith the maturity of subway technology, subway not only meets the basic requirement of relieving transportation pressure but also needs achieve the higher requirements such as energy saving, providing quality service for passengers and so on. During the rush hours, subway can run in multiple trains marshalling mode to provide greater transport capacity, which will meet the demand of passenger travel. During the period of flat peak, subway can run in single train marshalling mode in order to achieve the goal of energy conservation and emissions reduction. The operation of dynamic grouping has brought new challenges for trains’ hardware and software, the train on-board monitoring is no exception. When the trains run in multiple trains marshalling mode, the train on-board monitoring systems will become into a large monitoring system through network cable connection. The problem of devices collision is followed by, regular monitoring system software can’t solve this problem and meet the requirement of dynamic grouping. The train on-board monitoring system software for dynamic grouping has solved this problem, in addition to video processing functions of regular monitoring system software, when the marshalling mode is changed, it can automatically control all devices to make sure monitoring system work normally and ensure the safety of train operation without human intervention.In this thesis, the train on-board monitoring system and dynamic grouping are introduced and the significance of the research in this thesis is proposed firstly. Then the composition of on-board monitoring system in a subway project is introduced, on this basis, the function demands of the train on-board monitoring system software for dynamic grouping are analyzed and the software development platform is introduced. Based on the demands of function, the overall function framework of this software is built and starting from the overall framework, the realization scheme of each function is introduced, especially the dynamic grouping relative functions. Finally, in the simulation test environment, the software is tested in detail to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all the functions. This software plays a vital important role in the operation of dynamic grouping, in addition to providing real-time monitoring, video playback, also can automatically control all the devices to ensure the monitoring system work normally when the train marshalling mode is changed. At present, this software has been applied in a subway project and works well.
