The quality and safety of agricultural products are not only the hot issues whichattract the current government attention, social concern and global attention, but also thekey issues of the implementation of agricultural and rural strategic adjustment ofeconomic structure and improving the competitiveness of the agricultural products wemust make efforts to solve.Put the agricultural product quality testing and monitoring system of Jiangyin City asan example, the system connect the whole city which contains fifteen towns and streets,fifteen agricultural products quality supervision stations, thirty-six farmers markets,seven base stations and some village-level detection points and other regulatory testingorganizations through the internet to build a powerful real-time monitoring pesticideresidues in fruits and vegetables platform, to achieve simplicity of operation, statisticalcharts, monitor network and data archiving.This paper first outlines the background of the project, the status quo and researchprogress in the quality and safety of agricultural products, discusses the significance ofthe subject, describes the basic theory and related technologies of the design of thesystem, through Jiangyin agricultural testing center and grassroots personnel exchanges,sorting out the system functional requirements, on the basis of the system needs to buildthe structure and processes of the system, functional design and database design of thesystem, after that the realization of the technical difficulties of the system weredescribed in detail, finally it comes to the summary and outlook of this article.Currently, the system is on running and have a good feedback, it promotes thestandardization of testing work of towns, streets, supervision stations, bases and othertesting agencies to ensure that test results scientific, accurate, reliable, and can make thetesting organizations know each other and have progresses of the work of detecting,which greatly facilitates the competent authorities keep track quality and safety ofagricultural products, to provide timely and accurate basis for competent authorities fastprocessing and scientific decision-making, improve office efficiency and help to protectconsumers’ rights.
