3GPP LTE (Long Term Evolution) system is a technology for the evolution from3G to4G,which has characteristics including high data rate, low delay, OFDM and MIMO technologies basedon an all-IP network architecture, higher order modulation techniques, it is a technology specificallydesigned for the needs of high data rate. Therefore, the research of LTE technology not only hasimportant theoretical significance, but also has important guiding significance for the engineeringpractice. Those specific research contents included in the thesis are as follows:Firstly, the key technologies of the LTE system are analyzed, including OFDM, MIMO,synchronization and MIMO-OFDM techniques. It is important that the study of the basic blockdiagram of the OFDM and its implementation has been done, so as the design of some OFDMparameters in the LTE system. At the same time, some basic model and the key technologies for thedesign of MIMO-OFDM technology has also been studied in a certain amount.Next, the study on downlink Budget in LTE system is done, including the link analysis for acontrol channel and a traffic channel. Then, the performance analyze of the downlink LTE systemhas been considered, as so as the impacting by different SINR to the LTE downlink transmission.The MATLAB simulation graphics is given and analyzed, which could be used to assess theperformance of LTE system based on MIMO-OFDM technology in different environments.Finally, combining with the engineering practice, the radio network planning is issued,including the planning of coverage, capacity, frequency, and site. The covering performance ofTD-LTE systems with AFN and RFN network models is studied, and also graphical MATLABsimulation results are given and analyzed, for which is important for the selection of network modelin TD-LTE system. At last, a radio design graphic of a macro base station for LTE system is given.
