With the rapid development of telecommunication technology in the application field,the 3rd generation mobile telecommunication system can't meet people's demand for communication quality and high data rate.Therefore,the 3GPP organization studies and standardizes the LTE.However,the present LTE network with many advantages has the worse coverage performance,especially the interference between the cell-edge users in a cell is very serious,which makes how to improve the anti-interference ability of the cell-edge users in a cell be a problem which needs to be solved urgently for LTE network.This paper adapts the MIMO technology to finish the improvements of anti-interference ability for the cell-edge users in a cell.And this paper aims to reflect the priorities of the MIMO technology through researching MIMO technology's four working modes.The research contents are as follows:The first way is to analyze the factors influencing LTE network coverage performance,the problems influencing LTE network coverage performance,the performance of the uplink and downlink of LTE network and the transfer loss model of LTE network.And some related simulations are finished.By simulation,it is known that the coverage ability of LTE network is influenced by these factors indeed and can be improved by doing some improvements.The second way is to do link simulation for the downlink of the LTE network.A downlink is built between the base station and users by analyzing the models.And the MIMO technology is analyzed deeply.This paper takes four working modes of MIMO technology including diversity,multiplex,MU-MIMO and beamforming as the objects that are analyzed carefully.By simulation,MIMO technology can remarkably improve the anti-interference ability and the date rate for the cell-edge users in a cell.The MATLAB simulation results show that the coverage ability of LTE network can be improved by analyzing and adjusting the enormous factors which influence LTE network coverage performance.And the four working modes of MIMO technology which is considered as the most remarkable technology,are simulated to get the results which show that MIMO technology can remarkably improve the anti-interference ability and data transfer rate of the cell-edge users in a cell.
