In order to develop a more efficient reservoir of resources, the reservoir modeling and itsvisualization based on geological exploration data has been a concern. The mainly research ofthis topic is aimed at handling specific questions and actual requirements of reservoirvisualization, as well as designing and establishing a three-dimensional reservoir visualizationsystem. In the implementation process, the visualization software Open Inventor and itsextension module VolumeViz are technical methods, the Qt and the Visual Studio2008aredevelopment platform. According the features of three-dimensional reservoir module, wecomplete data analysis, data processing, three-dimensional visualization module design andthe final coding implementation, etc.Combining with requirement of the actual scientific research, this essay have researchedthree-dimensional massive data visualization’s basic theory and technique process whichbased on the current of reservoir modeling’s visualization technique application backgroundand development. Because of three-dimensional reservoir module data are larger and typediversity, therefore data pretreatment and data analysis of this research is of great importance.Acoording to the LDM massive data management mechanism of VolumeViz module, it hasbeen implemented that the rapidly traverse, processing and high-resolution visualization ofmassive data of three-dimensional geological model. When loading a file, you can useSoVRLdmFileReader class. SoVolumeData class can store data, SoTransferFunction class isused to describe the relationship between the data set value and color, and the final showrendering is done by SoVolumeRender class. Reservoir data have the characteristics ofmassive amount and high interactive operation, this makes the VolumeViz has importantapplication value in reservoir data visualization.According to the software design process, this essay has completed the requirementanalysis, overall design, detail design and coding for the three-dimensional reservoirvisualization system. By testing the real data, the system can characterize the real geologicalconfiguration and properties of spatial distribution, even can realize the extraction and displayof the arbitrary well profiles. The results show the system is aimed at the problem of massivedata of three-dimensional reservoir data, using technologies such as massive data processingtechnology and VolumeViz realize the analysis and data processing of geological model,efficient and high resolution three-dimensional visualization research, in order to provide a more intuitive and convenient method for reservoir exploratory development, and has highscientific research value and application prospect.
