Research And Development Of Virtual Geometric Measurement System Based On ACIS

Virtual geometry is measured by using virtual reality technology, computer technology ofCAD, and geometric measurement technology to reality computer simulation measurementCAD. It is a virtual prototype---"three coordinate measuring machine", by using HOOPSrendering engine, and three coordinates measuring to establish the virtual environment3Dmodeling engine ACIS, by using the principle of CAD computer technology and geometricmeasurement to build virtual measurement simulation to measure CAD model.Virtual geometry measurement system in this paper is based on the contact typemeasuring machine used as the prototype, by using geometric analysis, simulated by3Dmodeling engine ACIS, the geometric measurement module of computational geometrymeasuring path, and then using the3D modeling engine HOOPS to display measurementfunction of geometric measurement path, and the virtual CAD model. The main content andwork of this paper include the following points:First, by introducing and discussing ACIS geometric modeling engine, and HOOPSrendering engine;Second, the introduction of CAD model, model of information processing and pickup;Third, researching the virtual geometric measurement technology and partitioning virtualgeometry measurement system module, to focus on the calculation of basic geometricelements of measuring path and display;Fourth, basing on the overall design of virtual measurement system of ACIS in details, toput forward the system’s design idea. Through utilizing modular design concept and everybranch of the system, to definite functional module for building virtual geometry measurementsystem from bottom up.According to the theories and methods above mentioned, using the ACIS geometricmodeling engine and HOOPS rendering engine as the basis, to build a virtual geometrymeasurement system designed in this paper, for realizing the validity and utility of someexamples of the paper.
