Research On Video Surveillance System Based On V4L2

With the popularity of computer technolo gy,the develop ment of networktechnolo gy in video surve illa nce networks and digitizatio n become a trend, d igita lvideo surve illa nce techno logy has a long trans missio n distance, has stability signal,anti-jamming capabilities are superior to traditiona l analo g surve illance techno logy,embedded platform-based video surve illance technology has matured， the softwaredevelopment cycle is short, has become a popular video surveillance technology.In the paper, a pla n of ima ge capturing system based on Linux operatingsystem and V4L2is proposed. By using V4L2interface functions provided toachieve data collection. V4L2is the Video device driver code of Linux operatingsystem. Video information can be collected and transport by TCP/IP protocol, LANusers can access real-time video images, enabling real-time video surve illance.Experime nta l results show that the syste m is stable, with a wide range ofapplication value.This paper describes the important role of the various hardware compone nts ofthe syste m architecture, hardware and operating princ ip les,and introduces softwareplatform build syste m, describes the compilatio n and porting to buildcross-comp iler environme nt, BootLoader,Linux kerne l and root file syste m, designof the application. applicatio ns are do minated by the camera driver module, videocapture module, video trans miss ion module, video processing modules, windowsvideo disp lay module, mail trans fer module, LCD displa y modules and othercompone nts,detail about the role of V4L2in Linux video surve illanc e system. Theexperimenta l shows that we can see the monitor screen in the embedded LCDscreen and in the PC and the screen do not smear, the network delay is very small.
