Water is the source of life. Freshwater resources are a valuable resource for humansurvival. Out of water in human society will not develop. Urban water supply systemsfor urban development have injected vigor and vitality. With the progress of society,people’s living standards improved, more and more people pay attention to the watersupply system stability and security. Establish supply remote monitoring system is toensure that the city water company efficient, safe, stable supply of important initiatives.Handan City Water Company to "ensure that people in real time with water, to ensurethat people drink safe water" as its guiding ideology. The increase system automationcontrol technology as an important way to improve the water level. The company aftermany discussions, decided to build the city water supply remote monitoring system.In this paper, industrial control network technology, telecommunications technology, theconfiguration software used in urban water supply surveillance system. The maincontents are as following:(1)This paper analyzes the functional requirements of the urban water supplyremote monitoring system, based on the principles of communication, and it wasdecided to establish a fiber-based Ethernet, GPRS and3G wireless networks,supplemented by a system of communication networks. And configuration software inconjunction FameView main functions and features. FameView based configurationsoftware built-in serial servers, serial devices and field meet its wired communications;FameView configuration software based on ADSL data services and3G wirelessnetworks to achieve its communication with the GPRS; FameView configurationsoftware based on the built-in Web server and ASP+ActiveX technology, the LANclient access monitoring system screen and data via IE browser.(2)Then, this paper introduces the Industrial Ethernet in the industrial field ofapplied technology, analyzes the industrial configuration of Ethernet and fiber opticEthernet features. Decided to use fiber-optic Ethernet industrial to build this system andcontrol networks. And detailed information on the waterworks dispatch center and twowater monitoring Ethernet subnet.(3)Based on the system control flow model and relational database principles, ER diagram design of the system, and establish a water supply system relational database.Finally, the system is set up FameView configuration software, and designsFameView configuration software user interface design human-computer interaction, toachieve the urban water supply system data collection and monitoring subsystemfunctionality actual operating results show that the system is fully functional, RMONreliable data, provided important technical support for urban water supply RMON.
