The traditional display technology can only provide the viewer a two-dimensional plane, but lack of disparity information. Compare with traditional display, Three-dimensional (3D) display can use optical device and other means to display objects with3D information.3D display technology, in the field of monitor and intelligent terminals, is widely used.With the development of mobile Internet, smart terminals massive popularity and the massive popularity of intelligent terminals, a variety of operating system came into being. In2007Google launched the Android operating system, due to its open source and free characteristics, Android in the smartphone operating system occupied the mainstream. Currently, the multimedia display technology on mobile intelligent terminal is moving in the direction of the3D display. But there are two major problems to be solved:First, whether in the support on the types of video, or at the decoding efficiency, the support of Android for the audio and video cannot meet the increasing demand; Second, mobile devices limit the viewing range due to their mass production as well as the algorithm of relative fixity. Only in the area can be achieved a good viewing experience, which leads to the inconvenience for the viewer. To solve the above problem, this paper proposes a series of solutions and implementation of key technologies. The main innovation of this paper is as follows:First, through JNI technology, we transplant FFMPEG decoder to the Android system, which greatly improves the efficiency and types of decoding. Meanwhile, with parallax barrier, we developed an application of3D display player without wearing glasses, enriching the experience of Android.Second, we proposed distance adaptive three-dimensional display technology. Based on the viewing distance detected by sensor, the proposed method automatically adjusts the pixels for each viewpoint to accommodate different viewing distance for mobile portable devices. So the method realizes the adaptive distance between the viewer and the device, The experience of viewing3D images is also improved, as well as the viewing areas is expanded.In summary, this paper completed a study of key technologies to achieve3D display based on the Android system. We proposed distance adaptive three-dimensional display technology, and completed the performance analysis of method. Some results have been applied in practice.
