Technology of self-organizing network (SON) is a researchhotspot of next generation cellular mobile communication system, which can improve the self-organization ability of network, simplify the design and operation of network and realize self-configuring, self-optimizing and self-healing of network. The research of SON key technology is through theory analysis and performance simulation at present, from the aspects such as network architecture, protocol process and the key algorithms. But the work of SON demonstration and performance verification is relatively little, and is usually dominated by operators and equipment vendors. So the research of this paper is to build SON demonstration platform based on the laboratory environment, and demonstrate and evaluated the key technologies of the SON.The main innovations of this paper include:1. Based on the laboratory environment, SON demonstration platform was designed and implemented from the aspects including system architecture, hardware and software system, position module.2. The indoor location based on WLAN location fingerprinting technology was researched in-depth, RSS-based Affinity Propagation algorithm accuracy improvement considering physical location and access point selection algorithm based on correlation are proposed, which was drawn into SON demonstration platform to simulate the actual network better.3. The cell outage detection algorithm based on multi-parameter combined clustering and the cell outage compensation algorithm of maximum energy efficiency ratio (EER) based on physical location are designed, verified and evaluated with this demonstration testbed in homogeneous and heterogeneous network scenarios.Through the SON demonstration platform, in homogeneous network and heterogeneous network scenarios, the network performance after self-healing have larger gain, and interrupt users in the network maintain the continuous and high quality of communication.
