Research And Implement Of L3Protocol Stack State Machine In Wcdma Terminal Test SET

WCDMA system is currently the most popular3G system. Perfect terminal conformance testing capability is an important sign of its mature terminal products. So, carrying out research on WCDMA terminal conformance testing technology, independently researching and developing of high-quality WCDMA terminal tester for the establishment of China’s third-generation mobile communications industry are of great significance.Senior (L3, Layer3) protocol stack state machine is the core software of WCDMA terminal tester, and also is the focus of research and solutions on the topic. This paper viewed from software engineering design concepts and combined with WCDMA network protocol stack layer communication protocol, we proposed a development process for WCDMA terminal tester senior protocol stack state machine, and achieved in practice.This paper researched the WCDMA communication system architecture and the protocol stack software design requirements, based on the evolution of the current protocol version, focusing on the3GPP specifications (Release5version, HSDPA) RRC layer of Uu interface in the access layer, deep analysed its logical structure, functions and states, proposed a state machine design idea based on transient table. On the basis of protocol analysis, we designed the state machine elements:designing steady states and state transition model; including state machine processing unit, parameter library, message store, sending unit, the receiving unit and abnormal protection unit six modules all together. On the basis of protocol designment, we describe the RRC protocol layer message exchange process with MSC (Message Sequence Chart, Message Sequence Charts). This paper analyzed the state of migration-related protocol events, and through the work of each module of the state machine finished the protocol flow chart, using a software tool based on test language TTCN-3, completed the transformation of executable code, and ultimately the L3state machine provided conformance testing support for WCDMA terminal.The achievement of this paper has been used for the commercial version and achieved a good effect on the market. The integrated WCDMA terminal test solutions can be provided by the WCDMA terminal tester.
