With explosive growth of Internet, the Internet users appeal for the multi-services support and better safety and mobility performance. Next-generation network research has been a hotspot for a long time. It is very important for a next-generation network architecture working with a stable network stack. Protocol conformance test can ensure the interconnection of a protocol stack. The work in this thesis relies on the project of Universal trustworthy Network and pervasive Services, which is in National Basic Research Program (973Program). This thesis has a deep research on universal network protocol stack. Based on the function feature of universal network protocol, we propose to design and develop the test tool with modularization and organize the test cases with tree structure. This thesis firstly makes a brief overview of the research background, including the existing network protocol stacks and protocol conformance test theory. Then we design the universal network protocol stack conformance test tool with modularization and organize the test cases with tree structure. Based on the basic design, this thesis achieves the key techniques of the test tool, including the specific language and controller. At last we program and run the PMTU test cases to testify the availability and validity of this tool. The realization of universal network protocol conformance test tool has the following characteristics:1) We divide the test tool into three layers, including specific language, compile and controller;2) Modularization. This characteristic makes it more convenient for software maintenance and function extension;3) Tree structure organization. This characteristic makes it more convenient for test case management. The difficulty in developing is the dynamic algorithm and test synchronization. This thesis offers a quantization tool for universal network protocol stack conformance test. This tool will ensure the interconnection between different equipment.
