The Long Term Evolution (LTE) system is put forward by the third generation partnership project (3GPP). The LTE system is the evolution of the third generation mobile communications (3G) and designed to provide users with the faster and better mobile network services. Currently, the LTE system has entered the commercial phase in many countries. In china, the LTE system has entered the testing phase. Due to the limited frequency resources and the promotion of the LTE system, the LTE system and other wireless communication systems will be deployed in the same geographical area in adjacent frequency channels which will bring a problem about adjacent channel interference. It is serious problem to research the adjacent channel interference and coexistence between the LTE system and other wireless communication systems. This paper analyzes the adjacent channel interference and coexistence between the LTE system and Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) system. We obtain the minimum ACIR values which could keep the two systems operating properly by using the Monte Carlo simulation method. According to the simulation results, we know that the interference situation from the TETRA system uplink to the LTE system uplink is very severe and additional measures should be taken. We also know that the interference situation from the TETRA system uplink to the LTE system downlink is small. So we don’t need to take additional measures. Then, this paper also analyzes the adjacent channel interference and coexistence between the LTE system and the FSS system. We obtain the minimum isolation distance values between the LTE system and the FSS system which could keep the two systems operating properly by using the Monte Carlo simulation method and deterministic analysis method. According to the simulation results, we know that the interference situation from the LTE system downlink to the FSS system downlink is very severe and additional measures should be taken. We also know that the interference situation from the LTE system uplink to the FSS system and the interference situation from the FSS system downlink to the LTE system are small. For these interference situations, we don’t need to take additional measures.
