Mobile Internet-based video applications have great transmission qualitydemand for the carrier network. Some of these applications are developed on iOS, butmore on the Android platform. IMSdroid is based on Doubango framework anddeveloped as an full-featured SIP/IMS client application on Android, providingaudio/video calls and content sharing features through mobile terminal. As thesemobile internet applications are typically bearered in mobile communications networkpacket domain, and depend on networks transmissions, then how can2G/3G/4Gwireless mobile network guarantee these video services quality without reducing thetraditional voice services quality? Namely, how to guarantee quality of network datatransmission and the voice service communications concurrency。This research is mainly to solve the concurrency problems of VOIP video callsand voice calls encountered by the group customers when they construct the nationalIMSdroid video network. We analysis network, software, terminal andmulti-perspective possible causes. Focuses on each of various mobile intelligentterminals network elements,including WCDMA RNC (base station),CS(corenetwork),WLAN access networks, IMS core functions and so on. On the basis ofthese work, this paper came to the conclusion and recommended the policies to builda national IMSdroid open source VOIP network: enhancement of the access ratethrough WLAN+WCDMA hybrid mode, optimization of WCDMA base stationconfiguration to increase the coverage, the terminal adaptation with IMSdroidsoftware, software upgrades for SIP/WCDMA concurrency,etc; and built test networkto verify the feasibility of these measures.The contributions are: recommendation of the best RNC PS/CS concurrentconfiguration parameters, recommendation of WLAN and WCDMA hybrid groupnetwork to enhance quality, proposal of software optimization to solve possible bugscaused during SIP/WCDMA/GSM concurrency, etc.The project is implemented on Android platform, but also adaptive to iOS andWindows platforms. Since VOLTE is not mature, this WCDMA based project is stillvaluable when4G(LTE) network is widely deployed.
