Cloud design is a new design model based on cloud computing for multi-user and multi-field. Providing resources to users from resource pool through the network by a service type according to users’needs. It has become the research hot spot in the field of product design. Cloud design improve the level of product design, shorten the period of development of new products, cut the cost of design. Finite element analysis as an important part of product design, but the cost of finite element analysis is high, simultaneously the research on remote finite element analysis using for one or several enterprises, deploying it to the cloud platform, solve the shortage finite element analysis capacity of small and medium enterprises and even large enterprises in one industry. In this paper,the main work are as follows:1. A remote finite element analysis service platform based on cloud computing is built.In this paper, starting from the basic principle of cloud design, analyzing the key technology, researching the architecture and function module of design platform combining cloud computing, focusing on the method of geometric model and remote finite element analysis.2. The implementation process of the remote finite element analysis is designed.Key components of similar products is analyzed using remote finite element analysis through the following steps:extracting products feature, parametric design, geometric modeling, boundary conditions calibration, finite element calculation, visualization output. Geometric model as a parameter input to finite element analysis, achieved the consistency of digital product design and product finite element to overcome the inadequate of parametric APDL. 3. Achieving the finite post processing visualization.Analyzing and processing the data of analysis results using the technology of WebGL. Resolving the data in the client browser, and building the model.
