In recent years, with the significantly increased exploitation speed of offshore marine resources, marine environmental pollution problems is getting more and more attention. Offshore environmental monitoring has become a hot issue in marine ecological environmental research. Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN) technology has gradually become one of the important marine environmental monitoring techniques with its network structure features. Now available fixed float monitoring nodes that used in offshore environmental monitoring system, exists some problems like small monitoring range, low flexibility, unable to track sources of pollution.In this thesis, based on wireless sensor network technology, a new offshore environmental monitoring system is proposed to monitor offshore oil spill as soon as possible. In the system, sensor nodes mounted on the fixed floats and unmanned ships are designed to monitor oil content under the water and other parameters indicators, control center PC on land obtains indicator parameters to establish oil spill model and completes oil spill monitoring in specified waters. The main task of this thesis is as follows:Firstly, according to the system requirements, the overall structure of the system is designed, sensor type is selected; According to data transmission features, ZigBee is chosen as the wireless sensor network communication protocol, by designing Z-Stack protocol stack program, system network is built, system functions such as sensor nodes join the network, data transmission are completed.Secondly, by designing the sensor node control program, environmental information around unmanned ships and fixed floats is collected. Environment information is processed with the data fusion, displayed by gateway device and sent to control center PC on land.Finally, design PC software, via data interpolation process, three-dimensional model of underwater oil spill is built by control center PC.
