As people put great store by education and due to the fact that the reformof higher education system is continuously advancing, the adult education isthriving.In the higher educational management,the quality of teaching and studentsdirectly depends on the standards of teaching and educational administration.Teachingand educational administration is the core of higher educational management, which isa tremendous responsibility. The work of daily teaching and educational managementincludes: teaching groups, management of educational administration and examination,administration of student’s enrollment status and so forth. The work is repetitive andtedious, in which errors tends to occur when there’s lack of carefulness and patience.Today in21stcentury, computers and network have become indispensable in people’sdaily life. In order to increase the quality of job, we need to apply informationtechnology to the career of education to build a Management System for Teaching andEducational Administration of Higher Adult Education.On the other hand, recipients of higher adult education are generally people whoalready have jobs. They usually cannot go in personto the teaching school to takerelevant procedures due to their job. The Realization of Management System forTeaching and Educational Administration of Higher Adult Education enables people totake the procedures even for those who are in different cities, which produces greatconvenience. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a Management System for Teachingand Educational Administration of Higher Adult Education.In view of the mechanical and cumbersome complexion of educationaladministration of adult education, and the fact that Academic Affairs of ContinuingEducation School in Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology is short ofhands, the university’s Management System for Teaching and EducationalAdministration of Higher Adult Education has adopted B/S structure, which isdeveloped on WINDOWS platform using MVC as the main frame and SQL2008asthe background database. It is composed of two large parts—one is the establishment and maintenance of background database and the other is the development offoreground application software that includes three major aspects of educationaladministration: information management of students, teaching administration andgrade management. The targeting users of the system are: system administrators,educational administrators, teachers and students. Four kinds of those users will beallocated proper authorization according to real situations—different users havedifferent access.Compared to traditional educational administration, the system adopts multiplesoftware structures and combines with internet technologies, which breaks the regionallimitation of the former and enhances the capability to share the system data. Withadvanced internet technologies, the system’s portability and expansibility areconsiderably increased.This thesis made a concise exposition of the system’s developing background, andmade detailed anxious about the design of the system and function module blocks.
