Due to its characteristics of low cost, self-organization, low power consumption and so on, WSN has been widely used in environmental monitoring, target tracking, traffic monitoring, agricultural automation and other fields. Wireless link is poor and data loss is easily happened in WSN; due to the convergence characteristics of WSN, nodes closer to base station have heavier traffic, which are more easily to be congested. Therefore, WSN needs transport protocol to guarantee end-to-end reliability and avoid congestion. When WSN is large scale and has big data traffic, it needs more efficient transport protocol. This paper has conducted researches on key technologies of data transmission in WSN, aiming to propose an efficient and reliable data transmission scheme suitable for wireless sensor network. The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)Design and implement an efficient and reliable wireless sensor network transport protocol based on private protocol. The main characteristics of the transport protocol are as follows:data transmission reliability; congestion avoidance; allowing multiple data flows to concurrently transmit; supporting bulk of data transmission; suitable to large-scale WSN and easy to implement.(2)Design and implement an efficient data aggregation protocol based on ZIGBEE tree routing and breadth first traversal. The aggregation protocol makes full use of logic topology of WSN and underlying transport protocol, allowing multiple wireless sensor nodes simultaneously transmit data and not interface with each other, improving whole network’s efficiency of data collection and data transmission。(3)Realize above transport protocol and data aggregation protocol in the embedded platform, and integrate them with existing routing protocol. These protocols come into being complete data collection stack. Simulation tests based on OMNET++and field tests including a hundred of sensor nodes show that the transport protocol meets the requirements of high efficiency.
