Web of things (WoT) is an important part of the new generation of information technology, received wide attention in recent years. The core of Web of things is "Things connected together, perceived the world", as more and more intelligent devices connected to the Internet, it gradually forms a concept of information sharing for things and things, people and things, people and people. But there are hundreds of millions of physical entities in Web of things, how to get device resources quickly through search service is a serious challenge that we are facing. Therefore, the research and implementation of semantic search engine for Web of things are of great significance to search service for Web of things. The traditional keyword search can’t well understand the user’s intentions, resulting in the lower recall and precision for the search. Therefore, we introduced the semantic search based on the ontology, proposed the model architecture of semantic search engine for Web of things, studied the related modules and implement them. The main research and innovation points were as follows:1. Studied Semantic Web and ontology content, constructed a domain ontology of Web of thingsWe firstly understood the concept of the Semantic Web and its layered architecture, described the significance of the Semantic Web to semantic search, and introduced the concept of ontology. Then we studied the definition, hierarchy and construction rules of ontology, constructed a domain ontology of Web of things using ontology construction tools.2. Studied the concept of Semantic Web of things and proposed its architectureConsidering the diversity and heterogeneity of resources in Web of things, in order to achieve these heterogeneous knowledge sharing and integration, we added the semantic abstraction layers to the traditional architecture of Web of Things, studied the concept of Semantic Web of things and its logical architecture and proposed its implementation framework.3. Proposed the semantic search engine architecture, studied the semantic similarity algorithm which based on ontology and synonyms CilinBased on the needs of semantic retrieval of Web of things, we proposed the semantic search engine architecture. In order to expand the user’s query keywords, we focused on the semantic similarity algorithm which based on ontology and synonyms Cilin.4. Designed and implemented the semantic engine system, tested and evaluated itBased on the theoretical architecture of semantic search engine of Web of things, combined with the related development tools, we designed and implemented the entire search system, completed the crawler, parsing, indexing, query expansion, user interface design, then tested and evaluated the system.
