With the rapid growth of internet information, more and more people choose search engine as the chief means of access to network information. Since the Internet is stuffed with vast information, how access to the network information in some specific areas accurately and comprehensively has become the focus of search engines study. The professional search engines which provide specific information service for users is in line with the development needs. So it has been rapidly developed in recent years. This paper firstly introduced the search engine and ontology-related technologies, focused on professional search engines and meta-search engines, and analyzed the significance of building professional search engine with meta-search technology and ontology technology. The adoption of meta-search technology offset the shortage of traditional search engine to some extent, and enlarged search range and recall ratio. On the basis of meta-search engines, the composition introduced the conception of ontology. Compared with the recent chief means to construct ontology, an ontology construction method suitable for training field was proposed. Meantime, Protégé3.3.1 was utilized to construct ontology for training field. Because ontology is the abstraction and description of field knowledge conception, so information search could be upgraded from keyword-based search up to semantic-based search. As a result, the precision ratio has been enhanced. Finally, the constructed ontology was introduced into information search of training field. A professional search engineer facing training field was designed based on ontology. By analyzing and evaluating the results from the system returned, we could find that this professional search engineer provided more recall ratio and precision ratio than traditional search engines.
