With the rapid development of Internet applications, the Linux operating system is more and more favored by enterprises and institutions. Data transmission as one of the most common and important network applications is still in large need in modern enterprises and institutions. Although the Linux platform provides many tools for data transmission, these tools have many shortcomings:1) the simple and single function is hard to complete complex needs;2) most of them are command-line tools, and require basic knowledge of Linux;3) they don’t show load of system resources such as CPU, memory, disk and network and users cannot control and adjust data transmission parameters.The main work of this paper is, based on my experience and practice of transmission of large file in an institution, to design and implement a configurable, extensible data transmission system with an UI using the existing technology.1) Analyze the system needs from both functionality and performance, proposed resource analysis and forecasting methods, and then sketched out the overall framework and functional flow chart;2) Give a detailed design of the system from system structure, function modules, workflow, database and user interface other aspects;3) Design and implement a system for enterprise application scenarios, carried out a detailed functional testing and performance testing. Test results showed that the system meets the system requirements.The data transmission system in this paper is implemented using the C language and Linux Shell Script, and the UI is developed using MVC and Java Swing. Till now it has been running stably in an institution for more than three months and works well.
