The spectral imager is combination of the spectral resolving power of spectrumtechnology and the space resolving power of imaging technology on an optical instrument. Inmilitary surveillance, scientific research, space exploration, environment monitoring, space,fine agriculture, production safety, energy conservation and emissions reduction, etc havebroad application.The prismatic element is one of the core components of the Spectral imager. New typeof prismatic element--the acousto-optic tunable filter (Acousto-Optic Tunable Filter, AOTF)is based on acousto-optic crystal medium developed abnormal Prague (Bragg diffractionprinciple. Compared with other prismatic element, AOTF is: small volume, light quality,large clear aperture, incident large aperture, light speed, wavelength arbitrary switching, highdiffraction efficiency, high resolution and high total solid advantages of no moving parts,simple optical path. Therefore, the study of AOTF is of great significance.Firstly,in this paper introduces the spectral imaging technique and the acousto-optictunable filter research status at home and abroad, the main research content and significanceis made clear of this article; Secondly, acousto-optic crystal is tellurium dioxide crystals(TeO2), by using the principle of abnormal acousto-optic Bragg diffraction is developed into anew type of prismatic element. Starting from the basic equations of interaction parameter, therelated principle of acousto-optic tunable filter has carried on the detailed elaboration,illustrates the non-linear acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF) of the structure and workingprinciple, this paper introduces the precise parallel tangential momentum-matching and themain performance parameters of acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF).Thirdly, introduce theworking principle of piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer. Piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer isthe use of the converse piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric crystal converts electrical signalsfrom the signals placing signage at the same frequency ultrasound. Through the introduction to relevant theories, the piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer material, cut and piezoelectricequations of choice. And introduce the basic structure and principle of acousto-optic device.Finally, using multiple-physical field coupling simulation analysis software (COMSOLMultiphysics)to piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer for lithium niobate crystal vibration modeand vibration direction of the particle analysis, confirmed the direction of the vibration of theparticle. For simulation acousto-optic interaction medium at the same time, the ultrasonicafter entering acousto-optic crystal, the change of the acousto-optic crystal, will be the studyof actual AOTF production has important guiding significance. Introduce the workingprinciple of the acousto-optic tunable filter.
