Design And Implementation Of Teacher Evaluation System In Vocational Colleges

We can carry out teacher evaluation effectively by designing a reasonable teacher evaluation system. It has a positive effect on motivating teachers, correcting education ideas, deepening education reform, improving education practice, implementing education policies comprehensively and eventually enhancing the quality of education. Currently, Higher Vocational Colleges are vigorously promoting quality education by establishing the Scientific Concept of Development and the student-centered concept of education to better the quality of teaching. And meanwhile, with the development of the educational cause, a large number of new teachers join the team. Facing the holy cause, they need a process in which they can improve themselves gradually. Thus, it is absolutely necessary to carry out teacher evaluation conscientiously.This paper discusses the design and implementation of teacher evaluation system with expansibility for higher vocational colleges. It is focused on how to evaluate college teachers and the technology required by the evaluating system for teachers’performance. Based on the analysis of the expandable assessment needs of higher vocational college teachers, taking into account the purpose and theoretical foundation of the expandable teacher evaluation, this thesis designs and implements the expandable evaluation system for higher vocational college teachers, using SQL Server2005, and ASP technologies. This system achieves the core functions of user’s login and register, teacher evaluation, evaluation from students and parents, assessment from leaders. The paper also discusses the testing method of combining black box with white box, designs test cases, analyses the whole testing process and obtains corresponding results, which proves that the the system is workable and can be used.The teacher evaluation system designed in this paper has strong flexibility and elasticity in actual operation, so it can evaluate teachers’teaching and research work scientifically and reasonably.
