This paper is based on the background of transformation and capacity expansion of Shenyang Tietong metropolitan area network(MAN). It makes an research on the reconstruction, optimization and application of Shenyang Tietong broadband MAN. With the rapid growth of users and demand for high quality network. The future business development has already beyond the needs for the existing Shenyang Tietong (MAN). To transform the original MAN into a business IP network with safty, reliable, superior performance, clear level, strong flow forwarding ability and expansion ability.In this paper, according to the needs of future business development. The author reorganize the network traffic, the physical structure is redesigned and reconstructed firstly. Classifying the network structure, gradually standardizing the network structure by analyzing and transformation of the physical structure of Shenyang Tietong IP broadband MAN. Discussing how to deploy dynamic routing protocol in the whole broadband MAN, according to the needs of access layer, distribution layer, core layer, choose the optimum routing protocol by analyzing and comparing OSPF with BGP. Study and formulate the optimization scheme of traffic and flow for broadband MAN to resolve the Internet high cost settlement between other ISP.According to the daily maintenance for IP broadband MAN, discuss the problems need to be resolved, analyse the network structure and the demand for broadband services in detail, this paper presents a design scheme for building a reliable network structure. Bring forward specific technologies and implementation methods for the network software and hardware design, test the designed network, exhibit the test processes and results. The results show that the design meets the practical needs.
