Empirical Study Of The Hosts’ Function Of Opinion Leader

The empirical study of the hosts’ function of opinion leader in commentary news belongs to the fields of communication effect study. Taking students as the object of study, this thesis analyzed to and investigate on the opinion leader and the hosts’ function of opinion leader in commentary news from two aspects.Summary of foreign research literature in depth the general situation of the international forefront research on opinion leader with the application of bibliometrics software Citespace. With some graphs, From the above study, that the United States has become the absolute dominance in the study of opinion leader or even in the field of communication. In the database of WOS, there are1782theses about "Opinion Leader", the authors of772come from America. Many high-impact and high-yield authors in this field followed by Canada, UK, China, Austrilia. The main institutions of opinion leader study are the University of California at Los Angeles, University of North Carolina, University of California, San Francisco, etc.The second part includes three sections:the degree of the host’s function as opinion leader, the relevant indicators of the student’s attitude towards television news presenter, the relationship between the influence of television programs and the personal impact of the news presenter. These three studies include seven assumptions. After experiments and data analysis, the experimental data are input into SPSS to have reliability analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis to test these hypotheses. The analysis has found some problems such as the news presenter’s function as opinion leader is too wake and the credibility of the TV media is not enough. At last, some suggestions are given to solve these problems.
