Design And Implementation Of Chinese FamilyMart Store Management System

Shanghai Family-Mart Ltd. was established in2004. With the market expanding step by step, Chinese mainland owns more than1000stores now. To ensure the improvement of operational management level in each store, FamilyMart store management system was designed, and based on real business needs, combining advanced concepts of foreign convenience store management and IT technologies.By learning B/S development model, this article analyzed the possibilities and applicability of exploiting current store management system in Chinese FamilyMart based on MVC framework. Meanwhile, concerning about the real situation, a better operational management system was designed. The main purposes of this paper were as follows:(1) It searched and explained the status of development in retail industry at home and abroad, and explored the future trends. In addition, the analysis was carried out based on the application of the convenience store management system at domestic and overseas market. And the importance of developing the system was also pointed out here.(2) The key technologies in developing Chinese FamilyMart store management system were discussed, including B/S development model, three-level infrastructure based on Model-Vision-Control (MVC) and SOA etc.(3) On the basis of comprehensive investigation and analysis, graphic illustration was used to carry on the system analysis. Main activities and functional models of the management system were set up and divided.(4) Combining the theory of software engineering knowledge, the design on system models and database was completed. It also explained the design principles&targets, and briefly introduced the system development platform (CONGOU) based on MVC design model.(5) This paper described the main frame-work and methods of each model in this management system through the analysis on the main function and illustrations of order and stock operation modules in Chinese FamilyMart store management system.This system was used in the real business environment nearly2years ago, and it not only achieved expected target but also won a high recognition both in Chinese FamilyMart headquarter and store managers for its great operation and performance.
