Since reform and opening, Chinese accelerated urbanization, more and more people influx into the city, number of private cars is increasing due to the number of population, how to solve the problem of the sharp increase in urban vehicles parking Gradually become the government’s work, However, many existing medium-sized and small parking lots use manual charging methods which is not only in efficient also the management is a time-consuming effort, aiming at these issues this article designs an intelligent parking system.This design uses the embedded technology and combines with multiple function modules to build a set of intelligent management system modules that can replace manual toll. The entire intelligent parking lot management system is divided into three modules:the ID card reader control module, the ultrasonic ranging parking cell detection module and the integrated control module. The ultrasonic ranging module uses the microcontroller51single chip as the core, collects the information of vehicles on each parking cell and sends the collected information to the integrated control module for guiding the owners parking; the ID card reader control module realizes the authentication by reading the ID card information; the integrated control module processes the detected parking cell information, then display this information to the owners through the LCD screen for guiding parking, this module also has the function of processing the information readed by the ID card reader, controling the voice awareness and gating and so on.Through the mutual cooperation between these above modules, the whole system achieves that:(1) the function of detection the parking cell information on each area within the parking lot and then display the information through the LCD;(2) during the process of entering the parking lot don’t need manful toll, instead the car owners swips their ID cards;(3) and during the process of entering the parking lot the system provides the voice awareness to the owners, and the automatic opening and closing of Menza are completed under the guidance of the intelligent system. After repeated testing, the system can operate stably and complete the intelligent enterance process of cars, thus opposed to the old manual toll management way, this system can significantly improve the management efficiency of parking lots by saving the time of enterance, and if register the information about each parking cell within the parking lots can reduce the loss possibility of cars within the parking, and thus this system is especially suitable for the large parking lot and underground parking.
