Design And Implementation Of Workflow System Based On Lotus Notes

With the popularization and application of computers, to build a unified, integrated, efficient office automation system is a good way to improve enterprise productivity, collaboration, optimize business process. Customizable workflow is currently a hot research direction due to its good prospects.In this paper, a contract management workflow system based on Lotus Domino/Notes platform has been designed and implemented from the customer’s specific application requirements, based on the actual work. The chapter one is to introduce the background, significance and origin of the research topics. In the second chapter, we introduce the concepts of office automation, workflow and Lotus Domino/Notes, and describe the development and significance. In the third chapter we analyze and summarize the contents of the contract management system business based on customer needs design creation, and propose the solution to creation and control of the business process model. In the fourth chapter we describe the detailed design and implementation of the system. Firstly, we construct the database system based on Lotus Domino/Notes platform in order to support user access to the system. Secondly we give an approval workflow model, and describe its work processes and detailed design. Finally, we give the specific application skills in the design and implementation process, and provide the solutions to decentralize database capacity load. In chapter five, we introduce the content of system testing, test plans, selection and use of test tools. The system development is based on the C/S mode, selecting the Lotus Domino/Notes as a platform and using Lotus Script language, with Lotus Notes as database management systems and system development tools.This workflow system has successfully been applied in the customer environment, effectively enhancing the work efficiency of users. Due to the outstanding performance in terms of collaboration, it has been highly praised by users.
