CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) is a kind of advanced mobile telecommunication technology, which fulfill with great capacity, high quality, synthetical operation, soft switch and international ramble. It was originally used by the US military, and also was used by the Chinese military for internal use in the earlier time in China. CDMA possesses lots of merits such as repellence of interference and attenuation of multiple paths, the security and envionmenttal protection,etc.. CDMA is the main operation in China Telecom extend.The progress of CDMA2000(3G) right results in the success of China Telecom, and the development of CDMA must depends on a perfect network. Therefore, in the process of management, it is completely necessary to optimize CDMA wireless network constantly. On the one hand, the purpose of optimizing CDMA wireless network is to provide more consummate service. On the other hand, it is to extend system capacity in order to take up more and more consumers.The number of CDMA users in China Telecom has reached100million at present, and the average annual growth is nearly30million.The purpose of this dissertation is to collect data of network, analyze the data and find the causes which influence the quality of the network in order to optimize CDMA wireless network by technique means and parameter adjustment. On the above, it could obtain best benefits and find out the increasing trend about network to provide basis for network expending. The concrete methods of network optinization includes:.the issue of network coverage; dropped calls problem; the recall issues; hand off issues; connection with other network user,etc.The main research topics of CDMA wireless communications network are dropped calls and switching analysis and optimization. Through the analysis of the basic situation of the district, network coverage quality and traffic, this article apply the existing theory and technology to propose feasible design schemes on the basis of pre-engineering to improve the coverage and optimization of CDMA networks. Several actual wireless network areas are selected as the experiment background. The process is as followings:first, record the related indexes and parameters in this area of the network; second, analyze the methods to the network optimization; then, test the optimized network. The test results indicate that both the index and the customer complaint has made a lot of improvements, which prove that the proposed scheme is feasible and makes the network capacity, quality, cost-effective, competitive edge achieve the desired target, and ultimately meets customer needs of the market and promotes wireless network quality.
