CDMA2000, the third-generation standard of Mobile communications technology, has become a new technology focus in China. With the changes in Chinese mobile communications market, the network scale increases gradually, and a sharp rise is in the number of users. Users request to improve the quality of network performance is more and more. The management of the network operator changes from the qualitative requirements for the network coverage into the quantitative KPI performance management. The KPI optimization of CDMA network has become a new topic for optimization engineers. Analysis and optimization for drop call rate is the direction of this study.Base on analysis and optimization for drop call rate, the thesis specifies the principles of CDMA technology and the drop rate of the optimization method. The thesis points out the call drop mechanism and the related parameters of CDMA and the drop causes is the importance of optimization. Thesis focuses on the methods and procedures of the worst cell optimization; the impact of the network to adjust the power control and handover and the search window parameters; the steps and algorithms of neighbor list optimization; the content of wireless environment coverage optimization. Through the above described optimization methods to guide the network optimization engineers to optimize the call drop ratio.The thesis also specifically chose two typical cases of optimization methods to demonstrate, through case study of Jiangxi Yichun CDMA network drop call rate optimization and Shanxi Luliang dropped calls worst cell optimization verify the optimization method is feasible and effective for reduce the call drop rate of the CDMA network...
