This paper described the backgrounds, as the same time, we also analyzed thedevelopment of the flexible manufacturing system(FMS) and the significance of thisresearch. FMS scheduling itself is a typical JSP dispatch models, the research based theWuhan heavy Metallurgical Group Mazak FMS JSP scheduling model, and introducedthe general situation(diagram) of the entire manufacturing system, plant layout, theassembling map and process table of the moldbase. In addition, we used artificialintelligence algorithms to optimize the Mazak FMS, and detailly analysised themathematical moldel of the genetic algorithm, improved immune genetic algorithm,particle swarm optimization algorithm and simulated annealing particle swarmoptimization. We simplified mathematical description, which was best for the next step todesign a mathematical model, given the scheduling simulation, simulation machines idleschedule of time and processing. Finally, based on Mazak manufacturing system, westudied the affecting factors of the flexible path, the number of machines, number ofpallets and other flexible production.This paper used Matlab which had powerful numerical computing power and manylibrary functions. Based on scheduling rules, we gived examples of intelligent algorithm,and with the function of the GUI in Matlab, we designed Mazak FMS system software,which was achieved a better personal machine interface.The scheduling software drawedGantt chart, and compared the five processes based encoding algorithm to obtainsimulated annealing-particle swarm algorithm and coding processes genetic algrithmwere more excellented. We could found that machine idle time increased12.5%and20.1%, and the total the processing time was shortened10.8%and12.7%in the actualproduction. Thus obtained, simulated annealing algorithm is the best optimal algorithm,which could short processing time and machine idle time efficiency of Mazak FMS, andit would be the main directions of the actual production in the future research.
