In recent years,"the lost-only-child family","the lost-only-child aged" and otherterms gradually enter the public view. Because of the one-child policy as a basicnational policy in1980’s in our country, they who have lost the-only-children arealready over50years old. As Southern Metropolis Weekly said:"Before meeting withthe disaster of white haired people who send black hair, these parents haveexperienced the economic difficulties in50’s, the Cultural Revolution in60’s, themovement of going to countryside in70’s, the one-child policy in80’s and beenlaid-off in90’s. But they found that their lives have already left behind from the mainstream of society after the only child died.Nowadays, the society and scholars have a unified understanding of thelost-only-child phenomenon in China. The implementation of the one-child policy, theoccurrence of safety accidents, and the increasing pressure of daily life are the cause.With the scale expansion of the lost-only-child group, the problem which has beencaused by the lost-only-child phenomenon not only affects the normal life ofthe individual family, but also influences to national development and socialharmony. The lost-only-child problem is so important that relate to the developmentof family and nation. How we treat it correctly to guide the audience, solvethe psychological problems and be a good assistant for decision making, is animportant part in the future work of media report.However, all kinds of news-report and communication products about thephenomenon and problems, are emphatically described the pain of the lost-only-childfamily, which has been accepted and applied widely. But from the consideration of thetheory, this mode does not play a very good role to solve problems, and runs counterto the rules. This is questionable that, it is likely to exacerbate the psychologicalburden and the negative mood, if things go on like this.On the basis of qualitative research, this paper by case analysis, text analysis andsample analysis, summarize the dynamic and progress of the lost-only-child reports, the achievements and current situation of the research, the methods andbasic of the report mode, find out the existing problems and insufficiency,propose measures and suggestions.The paper has more than30000words, including the introduction, body,conclusion of three parts.The introduction mainly elaborates the background, topics of theoretical andpractical significance, the key, the difficulty and the innovation of the research, andresearch methods.The body is divided into three parts.In the first part, the paper descript the phenomena and analysis the issues, fromthe angle of sociology, journalism and characteristics, as the foundation of the study.In the second part, the paper summarizes the situation of the lost-only-childnews-reports. The first is to explain clearly what the lost-only-child news-report is.According to the specific circumstances, it classifies the news-reports. By thecombination of the two evaluation dimensions, it analyses the typical text to detectand identify the pros and cons, find out the law of the development and changes,for paving the way for the theory and application in following.In the third part, after summarizing the development and changes oflost-only-child news-reports, with "the agenda-setting function","cultivationanalysis","knowledge gap" and other news media theory as the fulcrum, the paperbuilds a theoretical framework of the lost-only-child news-report.In the fourth part, the paper puts forward some opinions and suggestions on thepractical application of the lost-only-child news-report.In the conclusion part, the article points out that the nature of the lost-only-childphenomena and problem had decided to destroy and solve them not ashort period. And with the passage of time and the development of society, it willshow the development situation and new trend, which requires the media andjournalists to maintain higher sensitivity and predictability to deal with.
