Airborne video data acquisition system can quickly and clearly to finish the largescale video data collection,it is used in various fields in the countries, such as in thefield of investigation, using airborne video data acquisition system can quicklycomplete the vast area of land and resources survey; In the field of disaster reduction,the use of airborne video data acquisition system can timely understand the disasteraffected areas caused by the damage; In the military field, using airborne video dataacquisition system can accurately detect the enemy’s military targets. It is because ofairborne video data acquisition system has extensive social application value,therefore, can design a suitable for airborne video data acquisition system has veryimportant practical significance.In this paper, based on the principle of video acquisition system, the videodecoding, the extraction of digital video, video data storage and transmission. First tomake the system complete video decoding properly designed based on VHDLprogramming I2C bus interface to complete the decoding chip control, secondlyaccording to the data after decoding the video format presents an efficient video datacan be extracted solution of general video acquisition card for efficient video dataextraction and the redundancy of video data more problems, finally the reasonabledata structure designed to make the system able to high speed and stable transmissionof video data, solves the data are easy to be covered in the process of videotransmission and video data loss caused by the problem.This paper adopts FPGA as core processing of video acquisition system, firstthrough complete video decoding chip of FPGA simulation I2C bus and relatedconfiguration, start working after complete the configuration of video decodingmodule, a front-end input analog video to the ITU-R.656format digital video, videodata processing module of FPGA internal will these digital video processing,extracting the effective video data frame, after the digitization of video data volume isvery big, so we design the storage circuit for efficient video data cache, the efficient video data frame is sent to storage for temporary first, then by bus transmission to thehost platform acquisition system. This paper selects the PC104-plus as host platformof video acquisition system, because of PC104-plus is widely used as embeddeddevelopment platform of airborne equipment, the computer platform fully compatiblewith the traditional PC, can support a variety of operating systems, on which thedevelopment of all sorts of function board size and size are fixed, therefore theplatform especially suitable for the host platform used for airborne equipment.Because the PC104-plus uses the PCI bus, so we have to complete the transformationof local bus and PCI bus, this paper selects the PCI9054completed local bus and PCIbus interface.This paper, by reference to relevant literature put forward the design scheme ofairborne video acquisition system, the overall diagram of system are given, accordingto the overall block diagram of the system to complete the decoding module of videodata acquisition system, main control module, memory module and the busconversion module hardware design. Then according to the characteristics of thevarious modules completed the video decoding module of software control logicdesign, completed the efficient video data extraction of software design and thesoftware design of bus interface conversion.This paper completed the video data acquisition system of hardware andsoftware design, through our for the completion of design for the system of tests andresults of analysis show that the video data acquisition system based on PC104-pluscan meet the related indicators of the airborne video data acquisition, can completethe video is very stable and high quality data collection and test results show that thedesign of the video data acquisition system based on PC104-plus suitable for airbornevideo data acquisition system.
