Die and Mould is the basic technical equipment for industrial manufacturing and it isknown as "the mother of industry". China’s mold industry has been around15percent a yeargrowth rate of rapid development in recent ten years,which leads to the rapid development ofmold steel sales enterprise.The enterprise expand gradually both in quantity and indimensions.Although the number of mold steel sales enterprises is very large,but they are mainlysmall and medium-sized enterprises,the management level of these enterprises are relativelybackward.And storage management and sales management are basically realized with themethod of manual bookkeeping in these enterprises,which hinder the development ofenterprises seriously.Currently available die steel management software is mainly for large steelworks, whichcan not satisfy SMEs.Nowdays some of the small mold steel sales enterprises take someexisting invoicing system to carry on management,but die steel need to be cutted for sale afterbeing purchased from the steel mills,in this situation,currently available die steel managementsoftware can not satisfy the storage management of molds.Therefore, it is necessary todevelop management information system,which is suitable for the small and medium-sizedmold steel sales enterprises.According to the above information and combining with the actual production conditionsof one mold steel sales enterprise in dalian,we make a research on the blanking process ofmold steel and take the inventory management as the core, and the design realizes salesmanagement,purchasing management,production management store manage ment,etc.Itproves that the design can solve practical problems in enterprise’s production.Through the analysis of the demands and the business process of enterprise,and with athree layer B/S design mode、SQL Server2008database and C#language，the mold steelsales management system based on WEB is proposed.Through this system we realize smalland medium-sized mold steel sales enterprises’ informationization. The system has been successfully applied in one firm in Dalian,and application of the system has improved plantsadministrative level and saves the cost for enterprises.
