With the rapid increase in the popularity and performance of the intelligent terminals, there is a new research field in the information dissemination system with intelligent terminals involved. A new information dissemination system comes into being which has no links between the server nodes, doesn’t rely on the basis communication equipment, and can work outdoors or where without base stations, which has a broad prospect for development. However, it is difficult to update files due to no links between the server nodes. Under this background, this thesis designs and fulfills the information dissemination system based on the mobility of terminals. This information dissemination system is consisted of a large number of geographically and discretely distributed server nodes and smart terminals which share abundant of information on services. The communication between the sever nodes and the intelligent terminal is through the self-organizing WLAN, and server nodes can provide a plenty of multimedia information services for a large number of intelligent terminals. The terminals can communicate with many different server nodes by WLAN, and achieve the purpose of updating the files through storage and forwarding of the terminals. This thesis will mainly focus on finding a solution to update files without links between the server nodes by taking advantage of mobility and intellectuality of terminals, based on the effectiveness and reliability of the system.Based on the above background, the main contents of this paper are the following:Firstly, the file updating mechanism based on the mobility of smart terminals is designed, and the file update without links between the server nodes is fulfilled. At the same time, analyze the specialty of the system that is some server nodes in remote places which results in small quantity of updating data in these servers and difficulty to ensure the efficiency and integrality of file update. Applying on the wireless network retransmission technology not only improves the efficiency of file update and the system throughput, but also ensures the validity of the information dissemination system.Secondly, design and fulfill a kind of select access mechanism. Because terminals in this system are responsible for the tasks of updating files, design a terminal selection scheme which facilitates to select the smart terminals that have stronger service ability under the system resources, which can improve the resource utilization of the system, information transmission efficiency and the stability of the system.Thirdly, based on Android platform, the functions of information dissemination, such as streaming media play, binary file transfer and HTML display etc., are achieved by applying on MVC (Model View Controller) model, which would ensure the maintainability, transferability, extensibility and repeatability of the software development. At last, set up an experiment to test the function and performance of the system. The test results show that the file update mechanism designed and fulfilled in this paper can solve the problem of the file update without links between the server nodes and improve the update efficiency compared to the traditional method. Simultaneously, the test results prove the effectiveness of various functions of the system and high practical value of it.
