Network terminal technology has been rapidly grown in our country. As an interaction mechanism between intelligent network terminal and application system in server, intelligent application service protocol is very important to be developed. This paper studies the technology of how to display graphical terminal interface, which is the key techniques in intelligent application service protocol. Taking RASP as an example, the work combines the current related field's research achievements, designs and implements screen update strategy and encoding method in graphical terminal interface, advances an optimizing encoding method. The main contribution and innovation can be summarized as follows:The display of graphical terminal interfaceUser interface is an operation method for users to interact with computer. It is essential for intelligent application service protocol to provide a graphical interface for terminal users, because the graphical user interface(GUI) has been adopted by most operating system. This paper discusses the principles of graphical terminal interface displaying in network terminal application service protocol, and then implements the display of graphical terminal interface in RASP.Screen update strategyScreen update strategy is a necessary step to implement the display of graphical terminal interface. In order to acquire graphical interface in terminal, the paper proposes a lazy-update strategy, that is to say that the update data are saved temporarily in server, and then the server sends the fresh update data to terminal when the terminal requests them. Encoding methodEncoding method is the key techniques in achieving high-efficiency display of graphical terminal interface. This paper has studied the encoding methods which are used in some dominating network terminal application service protocol, and then chooses some of them according to various instances to actualize in RASP. Because of the special image information, an optimizing encoding method has been proposed. A function of choosing encoding method adaptively has also been provided in the paper.
