In recent years, the number of cars is growing explosively. Meanwhile, people’s demand for information all the time is also gradually becoming prominent. All of these prompt the communication network closely linked to cars, which promotes research on the Internet of Vehicles (IOV), whose communication node is based on car. But the Internet of Vehicles in China is still in the initial stage and has not yet formed an integrated industrial system. And there are still many problems in the development process, such as no unified industry standards and lack of core technologies. In addition, there are a series of bottlenecks, for example, cost problem and privacy protection problem, need to be addressed to make IOV walk into peoples’daily life. In this context, this paper presents a technical integration solution, trying to solve some of the problems in IOV.Research work in this paper starts with analyzing current research status quo of IOV, which shows the technical architecture and research progress of IOV and that the development of IOV in China is facing complex and numerous problems. Secondly, this paper describes the research and requirements analysis of vehicle application for IOV. The research shows the forms and the main features of current vehicle applications. And then this paper summarizes and analyzes the current application mode of vehicle software and come to the conclusion that a combination of portable device mode and cloud service mode will be a cheaper but more potential integration solution. Windows Phone8is choosing as the platform of the vehicle application’s design and implementation. And then the functional requirements analysis of vehicle application is made surrounding people, cars and roads. Next, using modular programming, this paper describes the design and implementation of vehicle application based on Windows Phone8platform through general design and detail design. Giving a method of implementation of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and voice conference based on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and FreeSWITCH softswitch, implementation of location, voice navigation and LBS service based on map and speech recognition, and implementation of access control and motorcade map based on service monitor center. Some implementation results are shown in the end of this paper, and the results prove that implementation has basically reached design target.
