Monolithically integrated optical communication technology is one of the most popular techniques today. With the network bandwidth demand growing, traditional techniques encountered a big bottleneck. As40G/100G technology in the core network being extensive commercial, even400G and1T bandwidth requirements have also been put. on the agenda. The development of smaller size, lower power consumption, wider bandwidth device becomes more significantly. In order to meet the needs, of modern social development, many major manufactures have started to put a lot of cost in studying the monolithic integration technology. They wish the development of monolithic integration will help to solve the problem of size and help to limit the power consumption.The chip manufactures’ main concern in monolithic integration is the internal structure designing and the implementation. But in fact the industry’s lack of uniform test methods and performance indicators, which hinders the advancement of technology largely. The internal structure and production process of monolithically integrated chips and traditional chips are different, so the traditional test parameters and testing methods are hardly enough to meet our needs.This paper presents a new evaluation system parameters and parameter evaluating methods for monolithic integrated optical transmitter module, which includes three parts:optical parameters, electrical parameters and system-level parameters. The author designed and fabricated a brand new optical module test board and completed the build of a evaluating platform for the monolithic integrated optical transmitter, module. At last, the author completed the build of a service delivery platform based on the monolithic integrated optical transmitter module.The main innovation of this paper are as follows:1) The study of the internal structure of monolithically integrated optical transmitter module.2) The design of evaluating parameters for the monolithically. integrated optical transmitter module.3) The design of evaluating methods for the monolithically integrated optical transmitter module.4) The designing of an optical module testing board5) The build of evaluating platform for the monolithically integrated optical transmitter module.6) The build of high-speed transmission platform based on the monolithically integrated optical transmitter module.
