But the work of the technical aspects of agricultural land classificationand more involved in many geographic features, graphics editing is also a great amount ofwork, but also more complicated operation process, computing the amount of data, so thedevelopment of an information system for agricultural land classification is necessary.The first this article explains the concepts of the agricultural land and agricultural landclassification, reviews research situation and development trend of domestic andagricultural land classification, systems technology research, the basic principles andmethods of agricultural land classification briefly described, then describes the overalldesign and detailed design of the system, and finally made a conclusion and outlook.Farmland classification information system is issued by the farmland classificationprocedures, which is promulgated by ministry of land and resources. On the basis of deeplyunderstanding of the actual situation of agricultural land in hebei province and analyzinglarge amounts of information,it is relevanted by using Microsoft Visual Studio2012(c#).the farmland classification research is realized by embedding ArcEngine componentpackage in the Visual Studio,and using SQL SERVER database on the background. Inorder to distinguish the different function of different users, it judges the permissions first,after login the main interface of the system,you can view each countyā€™s grading factors,potential index etc.It also can calculate the natural quality of agricultural land, naturalquality, and economic indices, utilization index, natural rank, economic rank, utilizationrank by each module. So that the farmland classification achieve high degree of automation,reduce the error rate which come from the artificial calculation of each parameter of classification, thus it greatly improves the efficiency of classification work, and realizedthe function of local units calculate of the agricultural land grading. When graded,it canstatistic each gradingā€™s area number, and intuitive rendering In front of the user by barcharts or pie charts, fully meet the requirements of the farmland classification work.
