Wireless sensor network is a randomly deployed wireless network which contains a large number of power limited sensor monitoring mode. In the area nodes are connected by a wireless network system via a multi-hop wireless networks. It can detect parameters on the area and the data can be transmitted. With the extensive development of various disciplines, in many areas have shown a demand for wireless sensor networks.However in some scenarios it requires a more stringent performance for WSN.Wireless sensor network routing protocol has become one of the most popular research topic. Designation of routing protocols is essential for WSN since it affect s network performance significantly. The current proposed clustering routing protocol improve the traditional ones with implementing nodes’management and optimization of communication resource. For example, LEACH, as a classic clustering routing protocol in WSN, though the performance of WSN in some extent has been improved, some demands from different application scenarios couldn’t be satisfied with the layered mechanic network protocol. Cross-layer mechanism will be introduced in this paper to improve clustering routing in some QoS parameter in WSN.For cluster routing protocol, we recommend three points to improve the routing protocol based on cross-layer mechanism. In the cluster formation phase, the concept of horizontal-longitudinal axis is brought in taking the character of application scenarios into consideration. It will be divided as three parts. Dividing the distribution into modules, choose the cluster and establish the cluster. Single-hop model for transmitting data is dropped, taking multi-hop routing protocol instead. And the induction of link quality parameters in the routing protocol is also very important. For this part, this parameter is separated in to three ones. With the consideration of specific condition, nodes can compete for the link fairly. In general, not only energy are saved, but also fairness are enhanced for the choice of the next hop. For the energy saving consideration, this paper induct control of power based on optimal power control. The method is based on different power level between inter-cluster and the cluster heads. Based on the state of transmission, a method which can adjust power dynamically are introduced leading to more save of energy.Finally, based on a simulation in NS-2, the improvement of the new protocol is indicated for increment in QoS.
