The Design And Implementation Of IT Asset Management System Based On MVC Model

In recent years, the development of information technology speeds up the enterprise modernization and informationalization. Enterprise informationalization became a new trend globally. In the progress of enterprise informationalization, asset management is animportant part. Along with the wide application of IT solutions, the level of IT assent management will have great influence to the ROI (Return on Investment).The project of this thesis comes from real need of business, there is no appropriate solution to manage the lifecycle of IT assets. The traditional approach can’t meet the need of IT asset management due to the inefficiency and inaccuracy. To resolve the issues, this thesis conducts a research on the related topics. Firstly, this thesis compares the related solutions and technologies from domestic and international. Secondly, this thesis makes a complete analysis based on the background and users requirements and creates the rough and detail design for the web application. Thirdly, this thesis mainly focuses on the MVC model during the development stage.Finally the system was implemented and deployed for end users.During the system design and implementation, this thesis follows the rules of project management and software engineering. The mainly research archivements are:1. The end product fills the gap in this field because it’s not only focus on the general financial asset but also could manage other IT related asset.2. This system realize the asset lifecycle tracking such as asset register, asset transfer and asset disposal, and it could generate the on demand report to master the whole status easily. The system also realizes the digital document archive at the request of business.3. The UI of the system is friendly for all level users, the architecturedesign was expansionable, and the data was well protected to ensure the business continuity.4. This system archived the pre-defined objectives, it fulfills the needs for the IT asset management such as normalized the IT asset management process, and it improved the efficiency and decreased the waste.
