Over the years, with the increasing complexity of public security and theexposing of many public security problems, people’s awareness of securityprotection, therewith, has rose to a new level, which draws higher demand for thefunctions of security&protection products. The traditional monitoring systemexits the following problems: Firstly, infrared light is seldom applied intraditional monitoring system. Now, the monitoring system, however, covers fromthe important places in the daytime in the past to common areas around the clock,which disqualified the traditional monitoring system. Secondly, the monitoringalarm system is divorced from the videoing system. Traditional monitoring system,equipped with no effective linkage of videoing and alarming, certainly burdensmonitoring personnel and causes the waste of resources by padding unnecessarymemory space of the disk volume. Thirdly, the influence of environment affectsin a large extent the sensitivity, clarity and the overall performance of themonitoring system when exposing to such heavy environments as severe cold and extreme heat. Little research has been done in environmental elements affectingthe monitoring system in the past.New opportunity has been provided for the development of monitoring systemdue to the advancing of hi-tech like embedded technology, sensor technology andinfrared technology. This paper studies the infrared intelligent video monitoringsystem in a bid to solve the above problems. In the first part, by choosing thehardware design platform of ARM+SCM, a scheme of a system is came up with basedon hardware platform, and an introduction of every part of it was given in thispart. In the second part, a thorough introduction of this system is done from theview of hardware circuit design. To begin with, by analysis and comparison, I choosethe COMS sensor. Then, in the design of ARM part of hardware circuit, I choose theS3C2440A as the core control chip, and introduce the design of such hardwarecircuit as power module, storage circuit, voltage conversion module and crystalsmodule. At last, I focus on the circuit design of single-chip board, and analyzeand design particularly the MC9S08AC16controller circuit, temperature detection,Infrared driver, light detection, fan control, the heater control, alarm input andoutput circuit and heat dissipation problem of infrared light. In the third part,in the design of Single-chip microcomputer software, I focus on the MCP, TPM101,TSL2561, PWM and infrared detection module. In the last part of this paper, Iintroduce the testing method of singlechip PCB, and conduct an array of testson temperature detection, monitoring and alarm video recording, the sensitivity of infrared detection module and the distance of infrared radiation.This test proves the stability and reliability of this system that meets theoriginal demanded function.
