With the development of the China Telecom EVDO network and the rapid growth inthe number of3G users, traffic and data throughput are growing rapidly, the existing DOnetwork cannot meet the needs of users, so there is an urgent need to related optimization.Due to the data rate requirement of users the requirement of increasing, and the dominantfrequency range of requirements more clear, to improve network average speed, the focusof the EVDO network optimization will be in the low velocity area. We all know that themaximum rate of CDMA2000EVDO downlink is3.1Mbps, uplink maximum rate is1.8Mbps,but in a city, for example, average rate of single-user fell below342kbps to63kbps since the beginning of June, ratio of busy area in downtown reached41%,theperception of users decreased significantly,while complaints of users rise rapidly, whichaccount for55%of all complaints about C network; while optimization of WCDMAnetworkof rival China Unicom basically completed, and the development of marketusershas been carried out, China Telecom EVDORel A has on itself no advantage on rate atall,and the current situation is quite grim, in order to ensure the competitiveness of ChinaTelecom3G networks, optimization of DO low speed waits for no man.1xEV-DO wireless packet data service is a high spectral efficiency wirelesstechnology of CDMA, providing peak rate of data transmission services within a limitedbandwidth. This rate is higher than the available data rate of WCDMA bandwidth.Optimization objective of EVDO is to maximize the system throughput, the forward linkusing the multi-user scheduling technology, the critical parameter that influence multi-userscheduling is packet transfer rate, how to adjust packet transfer rate according to the statusand quality of the radio link has an important influence on the throughput improvement ofEVDO system. EVDO reverse link optimization is to make the average queue length assmall as possible,considering the queue length load and other factors in terminal buffer theuse of rate control to improve radio resource utilization of the reverse link. The reverse linkof EVDO is based on CDMA, it needs to limit the interference level through the powercontrol of the base station. EVDO network performance is influenced by many factors inpractice, such as: system load, speed and position of the mobile users, the layout of thebase stations, the RF coverage change caused by system load and switch. EVDO systemconfiguration station and the like. Through the analysis of the network operation data, theproblems of network can be found, providing an important reference for the follow-up development and construction of the network.Based on the working rate of yingkou telecom EVDO network optimization, under theurban scene, through actual EVDO network optimization test contrast, rate of optimizationidea of EVDO rate optimization in detail in this paper.
