With the development of technology, embedded processor has been usedwidely, and design size and complexity has been increased. The developmentof FPGA technology provides technical foundation for functional verification.This article is aim to implement FPGA verification of one kind ofhigh-performance embedded processor.Firstly, analyze relevant context, about embedded processor structure, chipdesign flow, functional verification methods, FPGA verification steps, FPGAstructure and resources, and so on. Based on one CPU core, show andimplement one kind of embedded processor hardware design. Build basicverification system during code design, start FPGA verification and softwaredevelopment earlier, in order to improve efficiency.Present how to implement a verification platform. Take CPU and DDR3test for example, show verification detail.During verification, use manymethods to improve reusability and degree of automation, reduce human errorand improve work efficiency. Use verification platform, run OS, pass all testcases, and obtain the aim of processor functional verification. The resultsshows the verification platform is reliable, flexible and efficitive.At last,summarize the main work.
